ADLER, Alfred
(1870-1937)
   Austrian psychiatrist whose passionate concern with social problems led him to embrace socialism. Many of his ideas like the "inferiority complex" have been incorporated into popular speech. His books include
   Understanding Human Nature (1928), and What Life Should Mean To You (1932).
