HUI-YÜAN
(334-417)
   a CONVERT from TAOISM and CONFUCIANISM to BUDDHISM. He founded the famous MONASTERY of Tung-lin and through his White Lotus Society is seen as one of the founders of PURE LAND BUDDHISM.
